The debut is finally here!
Unlike B.C and Marc – the two characters in today’s strip, I hope today is anything BUT a day to hate my job – and a “job” is what I hope bcomes of this strip!
Welcome to the debut of the very first Capes ‘N’ Babes strip! I know that there were a couple of temporary cartoon illustrations up on this web site – and there may be more as time goes on – but for now, the strip is the content!
Capes ‘N’ Babes is a little idea that started years ago and has gone through numerous transformations… everything from a self-published small press comic book (that never got past the seventh page) to various other incantations. And during those various incantations, a wide assortment of characters have come and gone. Some still live in my idea notebook while others have disappeared completely. Maybe they might eventually resurrect themselves in humorous form in the panels above… only time will tell.
In the mean time, I hope you give Capes ‘N’ Babes a chance as it will be a little slice of life mixed in with my skewed sense of the comic book world and how heroes and villains might live in the everyday world if they were “real”. Think Fred Hembeck meets Bloom County meets How I Met Your Mother and you might have an idea of what Capes ‘N’ Babes will try to be.
So I welcome you to the party. Sit down, prop your feet up, have some refreshments and I’ll try to entertain you to the best of my ability.
