Just taking a short break…
Pretty much as Roy said… I’m just taking a small little break.
This past Friday, I came done with a severe sinus infection. That usually happens at least once a year and usually happens when I have fully extended myself and my immune system gets worn down. To be honest, I’m surprised this sinus infection didn’t hit me sometime during the 6 1/2
Glad you’re feeling better. Congrats on the upgrade, I know there’s nothing more disruptive.
Why not sub-contract commissions? You pencil and sign…. “someone” inks and colors, just like print comics. My people will contact your people.
LOL! That’s a thought, Tim. Or, I could open an illustration studio and hire a bunch of college kids to draw just like me. No one would be the wiser, right? 😉
“unpaid internship” “summer intern” “apprenticeship”
I have read about this being done on another webcomic and it helps you and the up and coming artist.
Apple people will cringe at this but it’s true, be it Windows or OSX the newer operating system takes a long time to get up to speed for users.
Think of it as a short term interruption for a long term gain, hope it doesn’t beat you up too hard.
Well, there was a LITTLE bit of trying to get used to the differences between OS X 10.5.8 (I forget which cat that was) and Maverick (OS X 10.9) but just doing some exploring, i could at least figure out a lot of things without too much trouble.
The REAL headache came in finding out Adobe no longer supports TWAIN so it took a while to figure out how to get the new computer to recognize my Brother scanner and printer.
Also, trying to migrate stuff from my old iMac to my new iMac SHOULDN’T have been TOO difficult except that my old iMac was so old, Migration Assistance wouldn’t recognize my old Mac so I had to migrate everything via external hard drive. A huge pain in the butt. That’s all done now so it’s just a matter of continuing to work with OS X 10.9 and getting used to it. 🙂
Feel better Chris and good luck with a productive week. I wish you the best! 😀
I hope that you will be feeling better real soon, Chris. I wonder if there are any computer stores that could help you learn how to work your new MAC computer.
Hey Teresa…
I’m already feeling much, much better. As far as the new Mac is concerned, I’m already getting accustomed to it. That’s the great thing about Macs… even though the operating system is pretty new, I’ve been able to navigate around the computer just by using it. 🙂
Hi, Chris. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. That is so true that the more you use a computer the more better you get used to operating it.
