Aaaaaaaaarrrrgh! – Repeat Strip #108…
Just a little play on words. Still not as good as Master Guigar though. 🙂
In other news, I just wanted to mention, for Christmas, my wife got my Peter Criss’ autobiography, Make Up to Break Up, and I just finished reading it. For those that know me, they know I can get kind of crazy about two things:
1) Taskmaster
2) Peter Criss
Actually, Peter really should be number one since my fanboy obsession with him came WAY before Taskmaster.
In any case, he was always my favorite KISS member – he probably was the one member that drew me to the band in the first place. That only sealed the deal with my first ever record tape purchase… the Destroyer album.
His book is a great and fantastic read. I highly recommend it. And after you read it, you’ll realize there probably was a reason Peter took the image of a cat… because he truly did/does seem to have nine lives.
But what about “Hello Kitty” Peter Criss?
Well, James, the Hello Kitty is great! And my wife also got me a Peter Criss/Catman Flash drive for Christmas too… but after reading his autobiography, I’m a bit conflicted. I always knew Gene and Paul basically robbed Peter and Ace pretty badly but I still thought Peter got at least SOME residuals from any and all Catman merchandise, but apparently, that’s not the case at all.
In fact, I’ve seen KISS live four times – two times with all the original members, one time with Gene, Paul and Peter and then the last time was when they opened for Aerosmith. By that time, Peter had left the group for good and they were terrible. I was so disappointed that Aerosmith blew them out of the water in terms of energy and excitement. But now that I’ve read Peter’s book, I know why.
