#967 – An Original Taste…
I don’t think I have EVER drawn as many panels in a single Capes & Babes strip as I have done in today’s strip…
Also, a little meta stuff going on today as well as David Kessler is wearing a black vest and white shirt that was David Naughton’s signature look when he was singing and dancing in all of those Dr. Pepper commercials. And, for those that haven’t been following… the significance of that is David Naughton is the actor that played the character named David Kessler in the great horror/comedy classic, “An American Werewolf in London”.
I know, I know… it’s a little scary how twisted and bizarre my mind works sometimes…
My crazy, convoluted convention Schedule…
Wanna follow me and see everywhere I’ll be this year in terms of conventions and appearances? Well, I just made a Facebook group that details all of those events. It’s open to the public, so if you’re interested, click the link below and join the group:
What’s also funny about this is that David Kessler is also the name of the former FDA commissioner that wrote a book titled the End of Overeating which talks about the effects of drinking soda, etc. It adds another layer to this strip. (Yes, I might be a bit of a geek.)
I…. did not know that, John. Hmmmm… interesting things you learn every day without even realizing it. That’s pretty cool (and very ironic). 🙂
Excellent work on those panels there Chris!
If I had to sit through someone singing like that, I’d need an extra shot myself. 😉
Thanks on the panel compliments, Bill. Much appreciated.
Or it could just be zombie Whitney Houston, given this comic.
Oh man… if THAT was the case, I think they’d BOTH need “a double”. 🙂
