#856 – Mixed Message…
Ever since I decided to put a werewolf in my comic strip, I wanted to write and explore the theme I’m currently writing. I never did it before – or, at least not to the extent that I will be – because I was too busy trying to still explore and get to know all the characters in this strip. You see, from a writing perspective, I have always believed that characters will tend to write themselves – if you let them – but, it takes time for each of those characters (and the writer) to find their voices.
I’m not so worried about finding these characters’ voices any more so I just felt it was time to do some serious stuff in Capes & Babes – even if the serious stuff still has an exaggerated angle to it.
I hope you not only join me in this journey but that you also feel free to add something in the comment section as the current story arch continues.
I’m eager to see just what Marc texted…
I’ll reveal THAT on Friday, Chris. 🙂
I really like what you did with the dialog in the last three panels.
Thanks, Bill. Had those last three panels in my head all day yesterday with the exception of the last line Roy says. I was just going to have the last three panels say 1) What 2) The 3) Hell and leave it as that but then it wouldn’t be clear EXACTLY what the werewolves are pissed about.
That will be revealed on Friday. 🙂
I sense a poop storm.
I’m looking forward to seeing where you go with this storyline. It’s already very interesting, and will bring in some good character background and development for the werewolves, Roy in particular, I bet.
Of course like everyone else, I’m curious just what Marc did text that has got the werewolves upset, and also was it Marc’s mistake, or was this another hell created by autocorrect. It’s going to be a long wait until Friday for me. 🙂
