714 – Fitting Tribute…
And yes, I AM fully aware that there’s another REAL band out there that has a very similar name to Stepp & Wulf’s tribute band. Marc toured with them too. 😉
Hey, my 9×6″ sketch postcards are here!
These are going to be something new I am offering this year… quick pencil or black marker sketches at shows for tips. Here’s how the front and back looks. I did the Batman at lunch yesterday very quickly as I wanted to simulate the speed I might do these at actual shows – and I wanted to see if the marker I was using was satisfactory (it was). So, here you go – as always, click on the image for a larger view:
The sketch cards look awesome!
I’m a fan of Capes & Babes and I have to tell you I really enjoyed today’s strip!!!
I do afternoon drive on a Country station. Brooks & Dunn are what we would call core artists. Country = Brooks & Dunn, Brooks & Dunn = Country. It’s funny that there should be a tribute band for them; not sure if you’ve heard, but after twenty years, the duo have split and gone on to solo careers. Ronnie Dunn, the tall lead vocalist that doesn’t wear a hat (the guy on the left in panel three), has released at least three singles. Kix Brooks (on the right in panel three) hosts a weekly countdown show and is slowly getting around to releasing his first single.
I’ll have to send you the track list from their three greatest hits albums.
Thanks for the Country shout-out this morning!
Red Blood Road? (Originally Red Dirt Road.)
Only in Transylvania? (Originally Only in America. Yeah, one extra syllable.)
I only know their songs that made it to radio.
