634 – Hibachi Buffet…
Back in June (while I was at heroes Con), I mentioned that I met Danielle Soloud and her webcomic, Life With Death, in this blog. I even put her main character, Kim Reaper, in one of my Heroes Con story arch strips. She’s a terrific artist asd you really should check out Life With Death as well as her DeviantArt page as well – you won’t be disappointed.
The idea behind this strip came about via way of a silly little Facebook exchange I had with her and my friend, Ed Robinson so you all can blame THEM. I’m just the messenger.
CreateSpace Rocks!
Last year during the very first Intervention Con, my friend Travis Surber was selling copies of his webcomic collection, Hainted Holler. He told me he got his books printed at CreateSpace – a POD service I hadn’t heard before. After much discussion with him and then checking them out online, I decided that was where I was going to have all of the Capes & Babes books printed from then on.
Well friends, I have to tell you, I have not been disappointed in my decision at all. In fact, as the header up there says… CreateSpace ROCKS! I have always gotten my books very quickly, they are packaged extremely well and with great care, and the final printing always seems to turn out great.
But that’s not why I’m writing their praise. In the last couple of days, as I have been trying to get prepared for the second Intervention show coming up in two weeks (Sept. 16-18th), I ran into a little problem with UPS delivering my books. Somewhere out in a UPS storage place (hopefully in Northern VA), a package of Capes & Babes sits. UPS is currently trying to find those books but in the meantime, CreateSpace has stepped up to the plate and offered me a great deal of help.
They responded instantly to the phone calls my wife and I made this morning and they were extremely helpful. They helped make a potentially very stressful situation completely go away and I can’t praise them enough.
If you’re looking to publish something on your own…. a book, a CD, or anything else for that matter, I urge you to check out their website and see if their POD services are right for you.
They were right for me and I couldn’t be more pleased.
Thanks again, CreateSpace!
