Capes-n-Babes

Hey folks, as I mentioned before, this weekend, I will be traveling with the family down to Virginia Beach to participate in the Little League Challengers World Series Jamboree. As I was preparing for that, I had an open call for guest strips (I still do). And Donald Poquiz was one of the first to step up to the plate and send me in something. Some of you may recall that Donald did a TERRIFIC TRON: Legacy guest strip for me featuring Roy and Joey. Okay, the self-plug is over. Back to Donald…

So Donald sent me an e-mail with a script of a strip idea he had for a single strip. The strip idea was basically about Marc selling skimpy female super hero costumes in his store. Again, I thought the concept was great but also felt like Donald really had three strips instead of the single one he sent me. So I asked him if he minded if I took a stab at re-writing his script idea s=to see if I could figure out how to make his one strip into three strips. During my lunch break that day, I took his idea and made some “directorial changes” but really, I just re-molded his initial idea into three different ideas.

I sent it back to Donald to see if he liked the changes and suggestions I had and he loved them. Today is the first of the three ideas we had so I hope you enjoy today’s installment because I think Monday’s strip is even funnier!

Donald did all of these strips entirely in Adobe Illustrator – including the coloring.
