#1060 – Those Others…
Been SUPER busy with a bunch of commissions and building a website for my best friend’s new company.
The web site is a WordPress site based on the Avada Architecture theme. If you want to check out his site, you can find it by going to www.arcadiandc.com.
My best friend’s company specializes in big events based in and around the Washington DC area. He has a ton of experience having worked for many years for another events company in Washington DC and now is branching out on his own. If you are thinking about having an event in the Washington Metropolitan area, I can not recommend him enough. His company (and his experience) will really make your event memorable!
And building the website, I learned a ton about the Avada themes – even though the U.S. State Department US Embassy websites that I helped design were based largely on the Avada theme but we ended up customizing the theme a great deal. If you have never checked them out before, here’s where you can see all of them:
I’m not sure how many of them have been updated with the new look. I left that contract two years ago and at the time I left, we had rolled out 20 some embassies in various countries. The Canadian site I know is live and you can see it below:
Anyway, that’s it for tonight.
Am I too suspicious or are you going Meta on us? I mean, using the stereotypical redneck to decry stereotypical behavior…everyone *knows* a guy with a mullet and a tanktop and a baseball cap is ignorant, racist, sexist, probably likes NASCAR, hates gays and anything/anyone different…if the inherent hypocrisy is intentional, it’s brilliant. If it wasn’t…
Oh? Is that a stereotypical redneck? I didn’t notice. 😉
But actually, I never said he was a redneck or implied he was racists, sexist, likes NASCAR and/or hates gays. I am only implying that THIS particular dude hates all werewolves. EXCEPT the one werewolf he personally knows.
I’m sure we all know people who have hypocritical hatreds like that – no matter who or what they are directed at, don’t we? 😉
Yeah, I’m gonna go with intentional :p
Hi, Chris.
Are we going to see any more exploits of your crazy characters?
Hey Andrew…
Yes but it may be a while before that happens. I was laid off from a government contract back in February, thought I got hired on a new one at the start of March only to find out that the project was eventually killed six weeks later but then got hired for a new position just a week ago.
So it’s been a really crazy 9 months and I haven’t had any time to really devote to the Capes & Babes world. But I still have strips I want to do… just haven’t found the necessary time to dedicate to the strip.
