The debate continues…
If you’re a long time Marvel comics reader, then you should be well aware of this old debate… Sue and Sub-Mariner. It’s always hinted that there is a very real admiration between Namor and Sue… enough is said (or implied) as to give comic book readers plenty to argue about between these two. The dialog between them is almost always riddled with heavy innuendos and anything that could be interpreted as a sexual act, almost always takes place off panel or is referred to in casual dialog… “Remember the time we had in Key Largo…”. As if that seems to suggest they had sex when they were in Key Largo…
Still, there is never enough to give any conclusive evidence that Sue and Namor have had anything but a very flirtatious relationship with one another… almost as if they both enjoy the tease they give to each other. They are much more like David and Maddie from the old 80’s TV show, “Moonlighting” but without all the extra yuk-yuks. They thrive on the tease and flirtation and they even enjoy seeing how far they can push each other.
But do I think they’ve ever gone the full distance?
No. And Joey will tell you all why I feel that way in Wednesday’s cartoon.
