Folks, don’t try checking out www.readit.org – it’s a completely fabricated website meant to spoof a certain OTHER link sharing website that has a very similar name (but for those that might be interested, www.readit.org IS available for sale).

Something worth checking out…

Bussboy logo
Some of you might have heard of Buzzboy before. It is written and drawn by my good friend, John Gallagher. I meant John at a SPX show in Bethesda, Maryland years ago. After that show, he invited a bunch of us to his house for a party/bar-b-que even though he didn’t know me from Adam.

Years later, I saw him at a Baltimore Comic Con show where he was wearing a cool, kick-ass black bowling shirt with his Buzzboy character logo on the back. I told him then that I thought that was such a cool idea and if I ever got the nerve to start doing conventions, I would steal his idea.

How cool is John? He just laughed and said “sure”. A few years later, here I am going conventions wearing a black bowling shirt with MY Capes & Babes logo on the back. The same shirt John had a few years ago. In fact, a few months ago, some of John’s relatives were having a hard time finding him at the Baltimore show and mistook me for him simply because I was wearing that black bowling shirt (as well as a Skydog hat John had given me as well).

Anyway, why am I writing all of this? Simple. John has brought back Buzzboy to the web and asked me to help spread the word about his re-launch. For those of us that consider ourselves true Buzzboy fans, we know John had run Buzzboy strips on his own website a few years back but now, Buzzboy has a new home on the web.

You can now read all about the adventures of Buzzboy three times a week at http://buzzboy.keenspot.com/ – so check it out. You WON’T be disappointed.

After all, John has great taste in bowling shirts.

Now if you’ve read this far…

This Sunday, I will be at my very last show of 2011. I will be at Capicon in Tysions Corner, Virginia. Capicon is a small, one day show but the show’s organizer, Jeff Daugherty is a real champion when it comes to supporting independent artists such as myself and Dan Nokes. We will be there from 10am to 3:00pm.

For Sunday’s show, I will be discounting everything on my table – think of it as a “Black Capicon Sale”. For that day only, I will be offering the following:

Both books will be $10 a piece.
Commissions will be $20 (I’m going back to my first year con prices)
My mini-comic, “Interviews” featuring all of Marc’s interviews , will be $2.00 instead of $3.00
Sketch cards will still be $5.00 though.
My “Death and The City” poster featuring Jean Gray, Lady Death, Vertigo’s Death and Gwen Stacy will be $5.00 or FREE with a purchase of a book!
The same price will be offered for my “10 things in life I learned from Bull Durham” poster… $5.00 or free with a book purchase.

This Sunday only!
