New Subscription…
I’ve been wanting to do this strip for a very, very long time even though I still have an ongoing subscription with Wizard.
But my wife has a subscription to Entertainment Weekly…
And it’s incredibly irritating to see how similar both magazines really are to each other these days. In fact, I sometimes find more comic book information in Entertainment Weekly and more information about movies and TV shows in Wizard.
I used to dig all the cool art contests Wizard used to have as well as the really great and informative art lessons by industry pros they used to publish. But alas, Wizard has become a shadow of its former self. Not sure why I still subscribe. Maybe it’s the hope that they will one day get back to being what they used to be about. And that’s comics.
But if their conventions are any indication, I don’t see that happening ever again.
