Schoolhouse Rock Healthcare Bill – Heroes Con 2010
I put this piece in the Heroes Con art auction Saturday night.
When I arrived at the auction and took a look at all the phenomenal pieces, I was shocked and dismayed that this little guy was being displayed directly under a huge Zantana painting done by none other than the man himself, Adam Hughes! It was on the main stage so a TON of people got to look at it. Quite a few people even chuckled at it (actually, a LOT of people chuckled at it) but it was still very apprehensive to be displayed so prominently next to ADAM HUGHES!
Of course, my worst nightmare came true as an hour and half into the auction, as they auctioned off Adam Hughes’ piece for a mere EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS. Yes, you heard me. Eight. Thousand. Dollars.
And guess whose piece came after that HUGE BID?
Yup. Yours truly.
But that’s okay. My piece still had a bit of a bidding war over it. And so what if I was ONLY
