CSF Graphics.com filler…
Hey folks… you all didn’t think I disappeared COMPLETELY, did you?
Nope. I’m still around. I have just been SUPER busy with two – no, THREE – really big projects.
The first big project was getting THE FOURTH BOOK COMPLETED!
If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you know that the fourth book is now complete and I actually have 25 copies stacked up on my drawing table as I am typing this.
The books will be on sale at the following shows:
Tidewater Comic Con on October 18th
Cleveland Comic Con on October 26th
The VA Comic Con 2-day show in November
The NC Comic Con 2-day show also in November
and…
The Steel City Show on December 5-7!
The second big project ties into the book as I will be hosting a book signing premiere on October 11th from 11:00am – 3:00pm at Padrino’s II in Dumfries, Virginia. If you are interested in attending, please contact me by sending me an e-mail, Facebook message or a Twitter DM and I will get you all the information you need.
And then the third big thing is that image you see in place of a strip. My newly re-designed portfolio site!
You can see the whole thing at www.csfgraphics.com.
Go ahead… click the link… check it out. Hopefully, you’ll like it as much as I have been enjoying putting it together!
So, that’s what has been happening in my life. But don’t worry… now that I have my portfolio site at a comfortable place, I will be getting back to Capes & babes real, real soon.
I promise!
OOoooooo, shiny
Glad you like it… now you know what I do during “day light hours”. 🙂
You mean, there’s a world out.. outside of cons? (O.O)
LOL! Yeah, that’s the rumor I’ve been told. 🙂
Congratulations on your site Chris!
But a quick critique… My monitor res is 1366 X 768.
Your unscrollable background image cuts off on the bottom of the page at “Web” right below “Print”.
And your scrollable foreground overlaps part of the background image on the left. It gets cut off after “PO” in “Portfolio”. The foreground is centered on my screen, not to the right like your image above shows.
Everything else looks great! 😀
What size is your monitor, Bill? At work, I have a 19″ monitor that is set up at the same resolution yours is (1366×768) and I am able to expand my browser window and see everything find.
On the 13″ laptop I also use at work, I do see some of the issues you’re talking about. I’m not sure if there’s anything I can really do about that though since the theme is responsive. It’s a bit of a trade off in the sense that if I don’t put that cartoon image in the background of the home page, on large monitors (which most art directors will be using), it looks boring and bland.
If I was a programming guru, what I would do is have some kind of script in the background that would recognize what size monitor someone has and display either the generic background I have on all the other pages or the one with my cartoon and links underneath.
I might have to put some kind of text on the home page to let people know the home page is meant to be viewed on a larger monitor. We’ll see. If more people complain, I’ll re-think that background image and try to come up with something different.
15″ widescreen.
I just thought you’d like to know how it’s showing up on other machines if you didn’t see it already. 😉
Thought you also teased an illustration project… dying to see that.
Yeah… I think that might be the Universal Pictures classic monsters line up of Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, Creature of the Black lagoon and the Mummy as Minions. Still working that out as I wasn’t fond of my original idea but came up with something a lot better! 🙂
Are we ever going to hear what trouble Roy’s gotten into again?
Hey Andrew…
You absolutely will hear about Roy and the gang again real soon once my current day time employment situation works itself out. As it looks right now, new strips will hopefully start again at the beginning of the new year.
