For all of you youngin’ that don’t have any clue as to what the second panel is about, first, shame on you. Silverado is one of the most entertaining modern westerns there is and you should check it out wherever you can find it… iTines, Netflix, your local DVD store. Trust me, you’ll really like it. Besides, it has Kevin Kline is one of his very few kick-ass roles as a tough guy – yeah, you heard me right. Kevin is great in this.
It’s also Kevin Costner’s first time on film – at least where you can actually see his face. If you’ve ever watched The Big Chill, that was Kevin’s character is the one that committed suicide that draws all the college friends together for that weekend visit. He was supposed to be in the movie in a flashback sequence but his part ended up on the cutting room floor and, as a result, Lawrence Kasdan felt so bad, he promised he’d put Kevin in his next movie – which was… Silverado. At least that’s the Hollywood tale, anyway.
